The Golden Touch: Promgirl.net Review
There is nothing more exciting than prom when you are in high school! I know prom season is not even close...well at least here in California, it's usually between May and June, but if you are like me I like to be prepared and why not start looking for "THE DRESS" you are going to wear for that night you will never forget. I was contacted by promgirl.net and asked me to review their Clarisse 2012 Collection, they were kind enough to let me choose a dress to review and I opted for this fun number Clarisse Short Dress 9031. Their shipping was fast, the dress came in a hanger protected with plastic and it also came with straps you can attach to the dress if you don't like the strapless look. I also like that the bow at the back was detachable, so if you don't like the bow you cant take that bad boy off! The bottom of the dress is all tulle and the a layer of lining and the top layers of tulle had glitter.... in some of the pictures you can cant see the specs of glitter you can tell in some of the shot that it shines when the sun hits it. I love the dress it fit perfectly and with a dress like this you don't need much accessories I just wore a gold necklace that says "Cinderella" and a pair of nude pumps... you cant go wrong with nude pumps!
Promgirl.net has over 10,000 dresses in stock from formal dress designer like Jovani, Clarisse, Tony Bowls, Scala and many more, they have dresses for any occasion. They also have shoes and accessories. Whatever your style maybe they have a wide range of dresses from sort sequin dresses to long formal gowns. If you a re worried of not getting the right size Promgirl.net made a size chart as well as measuring instructions to make it easier, if you dress size falls between two sizes example if you are a size 5 get a size bigger and if it fits a bit too big you can always take it to a seamstress and take it in a bit. The following are just a few dresses I liked, of course I like lot more dresses but if I post them all this will be the longest blog post in history!!!!...lol so if you are in hunt for a dress check out Promgirl.net . Also check out Promgirl.net on Facebook and "like" their page for a chance to win a dress, they are giving one away each month, let them know I send you! ♥
*Disclaimer: Promgirl.net sent me a dress to review, all are my honest opinions.

DIY:Turban Headband
Lately I've been into hats and headbands, I was never a hat person simply because my head is too small and most hats fit me too big but I don't let that stop me anymore. Recently I feel in love with the turban style weather it be a turban headband or just the turban it looks very bohemian. So instead of buying one that of course was not going to fit my little head I made some from left over Jersey I had. Its so easy to do and if you are a fabric hoarder like myself it will probably cost you nothing to make.
First you will need a jersey knit fabric you can also cut up an old T shirt. Cut 2 piece of fabric into 8"x24" of course it doesn't need to be perfect mine isn't.
Now turn the strips right side out....
The goal is to just have the two strips interlock with each other like so...
I also made a black one. You can also add spikes to it or studs the options are endless. Hope everyone enjoyed the post.
First you will need a jersey knit fabric you can also cut up an old T shirt. Cut 2 piece of fabric into 8"x24" of course it doesn't need to be perfect mine isn't.
Then you are going to fold both strips in half and sew.
Sew with a 1/4 inch seam allowance, only sew the bottom.
and put one on top of the other making a cross or X shape.
fold one strip in half.
do the same with the other one...
Finally you just sew the ends together and adjust if needed.
and it should like something like this......
Oh yeah I almost forgot have a good and save Halloween!
